Rosalyn Olivera: Well i'm not sure if you intended for your question to be this broad...but shopping habits can dictate just about everything relative to the environment. Whether we choose sustainable products or ones that are toxic and/or pollutive largely dictates what is kept on the market. A lot of people call this market democracy, when you are basically saying the product is "o.k." by buying it.And if you have any doubts about how much the consumer has an effect on the environment just look what the demand and our dependence on oil has done for the past hundred years in terms of devastating the natural environment and contributing to other problems....Show more
