Hermina Ketring: no...most times they don't even call.. but if they do contact them they are just going to call them.my friend put me as a references for an application they they just called me and asked some questions about her.
Efren Clankscales: All you really need is a name, phone # & consistent answer about how long you've known each other. They may ask for personal information about your work ethic, leadership, honesty, etc...Most of the time, employers may ask for references, due to lack of work history...In this case, I would recommend a Priest, Police Officer, Doctor, as just the title alone gives the reference credibility.Good Luck!...Show more
