any vegetarian recipes that have no fish in them?

One of my family's favorite recipes I make is a vegetarian recipe (that we add meat too, because they prefer it that way). It's for a potatoe noodle stir fry. 8 oz uncoocked bow tie pasta2 tablespoons olive or veg. oil1 medium onion cut into wedges4 new red potatoes, unpeeled and sliced (or wedged)8 oz fresh apsaragus cut into 2 inch pieces1 medium red or yellow bell pepper2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano1/2 tsp salt1/2 tsp pepper4 oz shredded swis! s cheese1. cook posta, drain2. Heat oil, add onion cook 2 minutes, add ! potatoes, cover cook 5-6 minutes or until partially cooked3. Stir in asparagus, bell pepper, oregano, salt and pepper. Reduce heat to medium-low cover and cook 5-8 minutes or until vegetables are tender. 4. Stir in cooked pasta, cook until thoroughly heated. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with cheese, cover and let cheese melt and enjoyYou can always add other things too. (See the source.)Well, if you are in college here are two of my favorites: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tofu and Fried Onion TOASTED sandwich: Half a block of tofu (I use firm)One onion (I use the white ones)Cheese of your choice (I use pepper jack)SaltPeel and chop the onion and put it into a large sauce pan. Turn to Med/High (the one in between Med and High). Cook the onions until they start to change color. Cut the half block of tofu into thin (1/4 inch) slices and place in the pan with the onions when the onions start to change colors. Stir the onions and flip the tofu. Cook until the onion browns and the tofu gets stiff! er and darker. Remove the tofu and set it aside. Lightly salt the onion! s and stir them. TOFU COOLS QUICKLY!! Set aside.In a 9x13 inch baking dish pour 3/4 cup marinara sauce. Place 3 pieces of noboil lasagna on the sauce, covering with another 1/2 cup of the sauce.Layer with half of the spinach, then a layer spreading half of the cheese mixture over the spinach. Repeat layers. Finish! with 3 more lasagna strips and cover with remaining sauce.Cover with aluminum foil and bake for one hour. Uncover and top with 1 cup mozzarella cheese during last 15 minutes of baking.Allow to sit 10 minutes before serving.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------If you are looking for something faster, Whole Foods has a great selection of fake meat for making sausage in the morning and "ham" sandwiches for a quick lunch. Stanton Degregorio: peanut butter, almond butter, go buy some vegan margarine, maple syrup, Fruit- bananas, strawberrries, blueberries (heat over stove with a splash of water and some sugar)jelly or jam- heat up a dollap in the microwave for a few seconds then u can pour it over like syrup.Melt some vegan chocolate and pour over top- chocolate and banana is very good. put some! soy cream (or vegan ice cream) on top with a few toppings- caramel syr! up, crushed nuts, cherries, etc.You can make vegan whipped cream by putting coconut milk in the fridge for a day then scooping off the cream and whipping it with vanilla and sugar yum

Pei Heatherly: If you are a vegetarian then you wouldn't be eating fish in the first place....fish are animals. If you need to find a supplement to fish, then soy products, nuts; and beans are all good sources of protein.

Pattie Vold: ...wouldn't anything that has fish in it not be vegetarian? Last I checked, Fish was not a vegetable.You can try looking into indian cooking, vegetarianism is a sizable part of the culinary culture there.

Cristopher Gavalis: So I guess you don't have any syrup? Jam is great on waffles, or any kind of fruit mixed with a little sweetener to make it syrupy. Maybe if you have any canned pie filling on hand...cherry would probably be good, but read the ingredients to make sure it's vegan. Oh, and someone mentioned Nutella. Just so you know, it isn't vegan. They do make something similar that is though.
