Stanton Villao: During the late 80's and early 90's(During the MJ fame) MJ was so popular and had such a great agent, that you had to get licensing rights to use his likeness in ANYTHING. During that time, the licensing rights were outrageous and video game budgets were extremely tight. Many(if not all) gaming companies just simply couldn't afford to use Michael Jordan's likeness in video games. That is why most of the time, you will see his number, but he will be some generic white guy named Something Player. (NBA live '98). His stats are all there usually though....Show more
