Can you get drunk the first time you drink?

Donnell Nocella: Well. I started drinking when I was ten years old. My dad started me out on vodka. I never drank with my friends until I was about 14 or 15. I just used to drink with my dad and his friends. The first time I drank, I had 2 shots of vodka and I was almost passed out. But that was because I was 10. You shouldn't take more than 2 shots, just so you can find out how much is your limit. I know you're only 15 (saw it in another question you asked) so you're still growing and developing. Since it's your first time drinking, your gonna get drunk hella fast. Take one shot, and wait about 45 minutes and see how you feel. If you feel you might be able to take another, do one more shot of vodka. But then call it a night. You really really do not want to overdo it your first time.Also, if you get started out on vodka, there is a chance you migh! t end up like me. All I would drink was vodka and other hard alcohol. Then when I tried beer, it tasted so disgusting to me. I tried drinking it on multiple occassions, but I just couldn't. And still can't. So if you want to be able to drink beer, I suggest drinking beer the first night you drink also. Just drink one whole one.ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS RULE.Liquor before beer, you're in the clear. Beer before liquor, never been sicker.Meaning, DO NOT DRINK BEER BEFORE VODKA OR OTHER HARD ALCOHOL. You will be super super sick. Teodoro Lamond: Yes, it's bad for you. Yes, it's dangerous - very much so. No, it's not "normal" to pass out from drinking Alcohol. If you're going to drink, I suggest that you start drinking less when you do. You can overdose on Alcohol fairly easily and many have died as a result of Alcohol Poisoning. You can have all the fun you want with it, just don't drink so much that you become sick or lose consciousness. To pass out is really dangerous and you might never wake up if things go wrong.Keep in mind that there are people out there who will take the opportunity to hurt you (or worse) when they know that you cannot scream, run-away or fight them off when you are too drunk. I would suggest not drinking while! you are out in an unsupervised setting. Be around your parents or older sibling so there is someon you trust if you have to drink.

Toby Women: It has nothing to do with mixing rum and vodka, a long island iced tea has those plus 3 more liquors. It is just the amount likely that did it. I do know personally that I don't tend to notice how drunk I am getting with Vodka because it goes down really easy until it is tooooo late and I get sick. I am 32 so age doesn't have to do with it. I am also not an irresponsible drinker. I do not drink Vodka anymore because of it. It could be that you have the same effect. As a matter of fact, it is a key sign of alcohol poisoning or alcoholism. Both are very dangerous and should be avoided. What if you were sexually assaulted, or a family/friend needed you and you were in this state. Please try to be more responsible with alcohol or avoid it all together, as you may have a very serious problem.
