Byron Fortmann: It depends on what's going on. You should be in very frequent contact with them figuring out what the problem is. If insurance isn't covering your cost for a rental car, the shop should be covering it for the length of time they're keeping it. I don't really think it would be worth it (or even legal) for you to sue them for any large amount of money, but you should certainly try to make an argument for at least the amount you've lost because your car is in the shop. Leontine Kreitz: Simply tell your insurance company you are not happy with the repairs. And tell them you are taking it elsewhere. Then call the repair place and tell them they have 48 hours to give you the car back - you are not liable for anything they may have half-assed up to this point.
