Violette Vanek: If they are use cheap oil, the oil is going to have to be changed quicker. Only possible thing is that the MFG of your car sent information out about oil changes recently. But that is the last thing that comes to my mind.
Germaine Tieken: The only legitimate reason I can think of for that number is if they're referring to something other than another oil change. It's absolutely ridiculous to think that you'd need an oil change after only 1000 miles. Even 3000 miles isn't always necessary with modern oil blends. Always check your oil on a regular basis, to make sure that you're full, and to monitor oil quality. Darkening by itself is not a sign that you need a change, but a change in consistency is. Beyond that, consider your driving conditions. Very hot, wet, or dusty conditions will cause your oil to become contaminated more quickly. An overheat is also a problem, as excessive heat will cause the oil, as well as the antifreeze, to break down. ! If you aren't dealing with problem conditions, 3000 to 5000 mile intervals should be fine. Check your owners manual, some cars are more picky than others....Show more
Marna Liddie: it is best to keep yor oil changed to make the car last longer i only change it every 3000 miles and my car has 20034000 ,miles on the same motor
Dan Seen: the only reason you should take it back to Christian Brothers is to let them take your money. 3,000 miles is the recommended oil change interval. I think ,they think, you don't think. lol.
May Stands: Someone is ripping "That's Right" off, I have never seen a car that needed an oil change every 1000km. Check to make sure they actually changed your oil with the 30,000 mile maintenance. They should have, but maybe you had it done not long before that service and they held off on that. Otherwise, it is probably just a typo, call the dealer and ask them.
Misty Vagle: depends on the car, some cars you need to change oil eve! ry 1000km , sucks buts its the price you pay for nice cars, i ! have a 2001 audi and i change my oil every 2500km.
Tereasa Sorensen: ive been changing my oil every 3000 miles im at 158k and still going strong, this should be okay for you too.
Loriann Carrigan: I think they either made a mistake or they're hungry for business and hoped you wouldn't notice. Probably just a mistake.
